Lemon Peppers

These were growing outdoors in the earth - there were a lot of green pods, but they weren't ripening. When the weather got cold, I dug them up and brought them inside and put them on a windowsill. They ripened nicely with very little real sunlight.

I pickled them with lemons, garlic, and a grape leaf, which is supposed to keep them crunchy because of the tannic acid. This is the first time I've tried this, it will be interesting to see if the grape leaves have any effect.
